Just sharing a little decoration and logo cover I did recently. I sanded a small area of the board with fine sand paper and then sketched out a hibiscus in pencil. My plan was to use all Posca pens but many of my larger ones had dried up and I needed more white to cover the the round logo area. My pens were just not cooperating with me today so I busted out my regular acrylic paints and brushes to fill in layers of pink and fuchsia. Have you ever spent the day on one of Hawaii's beautiful beaches? If so, then you know exactly how it feels to enjoy the warm, tropical sun, cool trade winds, and brilliant blue waters. Near the ocean is my favorite place to be, and to me it's even better if I am surfing. In my acrylic on canvas commission, "North Shore Surf Day," I wanted to capture the feeling of spending time relaxing and playing at the beach on a bright, sunny Hawaiian day.
