This summer we traveled to California for my brother's wedding. Although I didn’t have time to do much art, I was able to find a few moments to sketch. My five year old happily joined in as we sat near the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge.
She created her own sketch based on the bay view to the left of where we were.
I quickly found that sketching a bridge in pen live is super hard LOL. But I love a good art challenge every now and then.
Overall we had a great time and I was excited to be in the city of my birth! (Yes, I was born there but do not remember it since it was only one year). I am really looking forward to visiting again soon.
Meanwhile back on island, I’m getting into sketching scenery again. Today I’m sitting in the sun in Haleiwa enjoying the nice weather after battling tropical storm Lala for a few days.
I hope everyone is having a great end to summer, and I hope to have some new paintings to share with you soon.
